  • Coordinate effectively with project teams, clients, architects, contractors, code officials, and other project stakeholders throughout the design and construction process.
  • Apply engineering standards, building codes, firm quality standards, and project-specific design criteria to develop practical and compliant design solutions.
  • Perform field investigations to verify existing site and building conditions and incorporate findings into design recommendations.
  • Lead construction administration activities, including reviewing submittals and shop drawings, responding to RFIs, conducting field observations, and assisting with project closeout.
  • Collaborate with discipline leaders and senior technical staff to resolve complex engineering challenges and support innovative design solutions.
  • Flexibility in work hours may be required to meet project deadlines and business needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience designing plumbing and fire suppression systems, including equipment and piping sizing.
  • Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including ASPE, NFPA, IBC, FBC, and UFC.
  • Experience using Revit and/or AutoCAD to develop construction documents.
  • Experience with fire suppression hydraulic calculation software such as HASS or AutoSPRINK RVT preferred.
