Requires a High School Diploma (advanced degree preferred) and over 5 years of experience in production, refinery operations, or maintenance. Must have experience in unionized environments and proficiency in SAP and MS Office.

About the role
We are looking for a Production Supervisor to lead and develop a high performing team while fostering a strong safety culture and building capabilities. This includes supervision of all area personnel and accountability of all area resources. The supervisors’ main focus is to lead the safe, efficient and sustainable production of refined borates.

Where you will be working
This role is based in the Port of Los Angeles in the city of Wilmington, California. This historical site is one of the oldest operations in the Port of LA, some employees are third generation workers at this operation. The southern California area offers a vast array of activities for every lifestyle from camping, surfing, fishing, hiking, family parks, sports arenas, concerts and much more.
Also known for its 20 Mule Team Borax brand, Rio Tinto Borates traces its roots to California’s Death Valley, where borate deposits were discovered in 1872.
