Senior Accountant
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
As a Senior Accountant, you will analyze complex financial records and reports. You’ll oversee a company's accounting operations. Senior accountants regulate and authenticate financial transactions. You maintain a ledger to ensure effectiveness and accuracy of all accounting tasks. It is your job to balance accounts and confirm and verify bank statements on behalf of the company. You will need experience using electronic ledger systems.

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the budgeting process
- Assist in maintaining the general ledger, including the preparation and eventual posting of journal entries
- Preparing the bank reconciliation, including daily entries for bank generated debit and credits
- Reconciling all other balance sheet accounts each month
- Assist with the preparation of the end of year financial statements
- Completion of the Borrowing Base/Covenants
- Prepare special reports for management, customers, and others as needed. Work on special projects as assigned.
- Run the Sales Report monthly
- Serve as RTT Trainer and ensure all Accounting Staff are fully trained in each critical function
- Assist the Accounting Manager in any duties or projects needed
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience and Education:
- 4+ years progressively responsible accounting experience required
- 1+ years of supervisory experience
- 4+ years Accounting/Finance Degree
Communication Skills:
- Strong communications with all levels of the organization, customers and vendors
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Great Plains, McLeod, and Microsoft Office Suite
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Hands-on supervisory experience over transaction processing systems and a solid accounting background with a thorough understanding of GAAP and a working knowledge of business process improvement, budgeting, and accounting policies and procedures.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to plan and prioritize within a multi-entity environment
