Role Overview
The logistics and manufacturing industry is a crucial component of the UK economy, playing a vital role in the production and distribution of goods across the country and around the world, and we know warehouses are now often among the world’s most sophisticated and technology-rich assets.
We understand the unique complexities of the logistics and manufacturing industry. We understand how to repurpose, redesign, and reimagine logistics and manufacturing space. We excel in bespoke fit-outs, large logistic parks, multiple-level indoor farming, vast warehousing packed with automated technology, and temperature-controlled environments.
Due to continued growth, we have an opportunity for an experienced Cost Manager to take responsibility for key projects within the logistics and manufacturing sector, a buoyant sector for RLB and our numerous clients, and one that is experiencing massive growth.
We are looking for future leaders to carry the sector forward. You will be joining an established and supportive team of cost management professionals, with extensive and diverse experience.
Role Responsibilities
Project Delivery including own projects and supporting the senior cost manager / associate.
Pre and Post contract Quantity Surveying duties including pre-construction cost planning and estimating and post contract financial management.
The candidate will be an integral part of a team that is accountable for the commercial and contractual performance of a project.
Building and maintaining client relationships.
To support business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstances.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar construction related technical discipline.
MRICS or studying toward (RLB will provide necessary support)
Experience
Previously experience working for a construction consultancy
Some experience of industrial, manufacturing, logistics projects desirable although we are also open to other sector experience
Experience of various forms of building contracts
A track record of working with teams to prioritise workloads and deliver to deadlines
