The SSHO is responsible for creating and implementing site-specific safety documents, including Activity Hazard Analyses and Accident Prevention Programs. They must ensure all on-site activities comply with OSHA and EM 385-1-1 standards while conducting regular inspections and incident investigations.
Candidates must have 5 years of continuous safety experience in either the construction or general industry. Required certifications include OSHA 30 (Construction or General Industry) and applicable EM 385-1-1 training.
