UCT is looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer II to join us in Phoenix, AZ!
As a Mechanical Design Engineer II, you'll be a key member of a cross-functional team focused on designing tooling, jigs, and equipment tailored for processes involving various chemicals and coatings. You’ll ensure designs meet stringent requirements for safety, ergonomics, cost efficiency, product performance, and structural integrity—while also improving processes and minimizing employee-related failures.
The Mechanical Design Engineer is the main point of contact for all production process equipment and associated fixture-related designs, actions and plans. Provides design/build/fixture/handling systems support for a variety of applications globally. Leads efforts in constantly improving equipment yields and performance, accountable for creating fixtures to eliminate preventable injuries during process. Continually develops the skills necessary for sustaining "world class" parts clean engineering services.

Work Environment:
This job is performed in a professional office environment, providing remote support to global UCT production environments. Work may be off cycle from standard local time to support active production in global time zones. Some travel is necessary at onboarding to be familiar with UCT processing needs. While performing the duties of this job at production facilities, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and manufacturing areas can occasionally be moderate or loud.
