In the Customs and International Trade Team at PwC, you will focus on customs and excise duties, CBAM and other indirect taxes. Your work will involve providing advice and guidance to clients on indirect tax planning, compliance, and strategy, helping businesses navigate complex indirect tax regulations and optimise their indirect tax positions.
1. Support the setting and execution of the Customs and International Trade Team strategy to realise growth ambitions. This includes, for example:
Delivering high-quality, consistent and profitable customs advisory projects while enhancing client satisfaction and market presence.
Leading and supporting delivery across key client relationships, including active client account focus and management, identifying and expanding key relationships, converting opportunities into paid engagements, and following up on on-sell opportunities.
Supporting business development initiatives and market activity, including internal and external visibility through speaking engagements, webinars, thought leadership and client business development events.
Feeding into, and where relevant leading, wider technical Customs & International Trade propositions, advice and delivery, including providing alternative or second technical sign-off where required.
Supporting the strategic and reputational visibility in the market.
2. Support the growth, development and mentoring of the Customs & International Trade team. This includes, for example:
Acting as an additional role model and mentor for team development, supporting the team as it continues to grow.
Coaching and working side by side with team members, communicating often, sharing context and vision of how things fit together, and helping people move through challenges with confidence.
Supporting recruitment, upskilling, process refinement and positioning the team for scalable and sustainable growth.
Encouraging curiosity, experimentation and learning, including reflecting, sharing lessons learned and raising bold points of view to advance the team’s thinking.
You have extensive experience in trade compliance.
You have demonstrated an ability to build and maintain strong relationships, with a focus on understanding needs and delivering value-added solutions.
You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and technology to drive decision-making.
You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex tax technology concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
