Job Summary
The General Foreman Civil will be responsible for overseeing and managing all civil construction activities on Primoris Energy Services projects. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise, direct, and coordinate the work of civil construction crews, including laborers, equipment operators, and subcontractors.
Implement and enforce all company safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate project execution.
Plan and schedule daily work activities, allocating resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
Ensure quality control standards are met throughout all phases of civil construction.
Manage equipment, materials, and supplies, ensuring their availability and proper use.
Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to crew members.
Complete daily reports, progress reports, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
* Participate in pre-construction meetings and contribute to project planning.
Job Qualifications**
High school diploma or equivalent; further education or trade school certification in construction management or a related field is a plus.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in civil construction, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
Proven experience with heavy civil construction, including earthwork, grading, concrete work, and underground utilities.
Strong understanding of construction methods, techniques, and safety regulations.
Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and specifications.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in project planning, scheduling, and resource management.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
OSHA 30 certification preferred.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
* Ability to travel to various project sites as required.
