Our areas of expertise are in rubber molding, material development, engineering, injection molding and over molding.
We were purchased by Starlim Sterner in 2011, market leaders in Silicone Liquid Injection Molding, with the head office in Austria and a manufacturing plant in London Ontario. With the ability to offer rubber and silicone under one company we can expect exceptional growth for the future.

Position Summary

We are seeking a licensed and experienced Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright to join our maintenance team. This role is critical in ensuring the continuous operation of production and facility equipment across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

We also welcome applications from 3rd or 4th year Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) apprentices who are eager to grow their skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Compensation: $35 - $43 per hour


Key Responsibilities

  • Support production and maintenance team by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production machinery based on priority.
  • Ensure continuous operation of all production equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Perform both preventative and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment.
  • Install, maintain, overhaul, and repair mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair building and facility systems across two locations.
  • Work under pressure to identify root causes and resolve equipment failures quickly and effectively.
  • Complete assigned work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Inspect machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities or malfunctions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Operate lifting equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process and equipment improvements.

Qualifications

  • Valid 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) license or equivalent.
    – OR –
    Currently enrolled as a 3rd or 4th year apprentice in the Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) trade.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance role.
  • Experience with injection molding equipment (thermoplastic/rubber) is an asset.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC-controlled systems.
  • Familiarity with robotics, automation, bowl feeders, and vision inspection systems.
  • Proven ability to work safely and follow all health and safety policies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and learn new systems quickly.
  • Self-motivated and a strong team player.

Work Schedule & Flexibility

  • We are a 3 shift operation.  Must be available to provide coverage on days, afternoons and nights.
  • We offer flexibility in hours of work and are open to scheduling arrangements that meet both company and individual needs.

Working Conditions

  • Multi-site responsibilities; travel between facilities may be required, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Physical requirements include standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30lbs.
