The Field Operations Lead will play a critical role in coordinating projects, dispatching crews, and supporting field execution across multiple job sites. • Track equipment usage, location, and availability.
  • Prepare and distribute project documentation, plans, and instructions to field crews.
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing project communications to ensure timely execution.
  • Coordinate with the Fleet Manager regarding equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal teams and customer inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation for all project activities.
  • Review plans and anticipate material, equipment, and staffing needs.
  • Monitor work processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications.
  • Track customer requests, work performed, expenses, and dispatch data.
  • Maintain inventory levels of materials and supplies to meet production demands.
  • Assist with general administrative and operational support as needed.

Position Requirements
• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, dispatch, or operations scheduling.
• Road construction or PennDOT experience strongly preferred.
• Pavement marking or road striping experience is a major plus.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and anticipate field requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general computer systems.
• Familiarity with local and regional geography preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and make timely, practical decisions.
• Self-starter with the ability to quickly process information and implement solutions.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.

Education & Experience
• Associate degree preferred, or 5+ years of relevant field or operations experience.
• Prior experience supporting multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Background in road construction, pavement marking, or related heavy-civil work preferred.

Why Choose PLP?
• Over 60 years of local operations and industry experience.
• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage (after probation period).
• 401(k) with company match.
• Opportunities for advancement in a growing roadway safety industry.
