Responsible for planning, installing, and repairing plumbing fixtures, pipes, and appliances within a factory setting. Ensures all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and company quality standards to support modular home production.
Requires 2-5 years of plumbing installation experience, preferably in residential or modular construction, with strong knowledge of PEX and GasFlex codes. Must be physically capable of lifting 50lbs and standing for long periods in a fast-paced environment.

The company’s patented Plant Building System™ utilizes advanced digital modeling and fully customizable Plant Panels™ and Plant Modules™ to help architects, developers, general contractors, and individuals design and build multifamily and custom single-family homes 20 to 50 percent faster than site-based methods. The system provides better quality control, design flexibility, and time, cost, and material efficiency than traditional methods of offsite or on-site construction. Plant opened a $40M, 270,000 square foot facility which can produce 3-5 million square feet of single and multifamily housing a year. It is the first automated factory in the US purpose built to create both panels and modules.

Plant Prefab is seeking a Plumbing Installer to play an integral role in growing, maintaining, and optimizing the operations here at Plant Prefab! In this unique and challenging position, the Plumbing Installer will be responsible for completing all plumbing activities within the factory. The Plumbing Installer will have the ability to perform all necessary tasks. This person will be required to integrate well within a cross functional team that includes all trades and subcontractors in the factory to ensure the production operations are set up for success. All work is to be carried out safely while adhering to Plant Prefab’s quality guidelines, policies, and standards, while driving the culture and successful tactical implementation of such. The position will be based in our Tejon Ranch, CA facility and report to the Plumbing Supervisor.
