Valid Armed Security Officers:

Peralta Associates & Defense is seeking Part-Time Armed Security Officers to join our rapidly growing team in the San Diego, CA area. This position is for weekend graveyard shifts (overnight) and is ideal for experienced security professionals looking for part-time employment.

Job Summary:

• Conduct regular observation of client premises and report any suspicious activity.
• Perform foot patrols, monitor the perimeter, and handle incident reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver excellent customer service while adhering to safety, security procedures, and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, using problem-solving skills.
• Patrol the site on foot to identify potential dangers or criminal activity.
• Report any suspicious activity to supervisors or law enforcement as necessary.
• Maintain accurate reports by documenting observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
• Issue verbal warnings, make arrests (if applicable), and/or contact law enforcement for security violations or criminal activities.
• Adapt to various working environments and conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid California Guard Card required.
• Power to arrest certificate required.
• Appropriate Use of Force certificate required with remaining 32 hours of the certificates.
• Valid Exposed Firearms Permit.
• Must possess and maintain a valid, legally owned firearm.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
