Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop guided diagnostic procedures for heavy‑duty commercial vehicle electronic systems within an off‑board diagnostics platform.
• Create, document, and implement diagnostic algorithms, software components, and user interfaces.
• Develop software using a visual logic development environment following Agile methodologies.
• Provide engineering support during product launches at manufacturing facilities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality, reliability, and usability of diagnostic systems.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams—including manufacturing, service, product development, IT, suppliers, and validation—to ensure smooth deployment of effective, user‑focused diagnostic tools.
• Collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams to meet international requirements and deliver localized content where necessary.

 

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience with automotive electronic systems, including substantial hands‑on work with on‑ and off‑board diagnostics.
• Familiarity with automotive or commercial vehicle communication networks such as CAN, SAE J1939, and LIN (preferred).
• Proficiency in object‑oriented software development; experience with one or more languages such as Python, Java, C++, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Ruby, or Swift is highly valued.
• Ability to excel in a fast‑paced, results‑driven team environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Experience producing technical documentation, including simplified drawings and diagrams for production and service teams (highly valued).
• Willingness to travel domestically or internationally up to 5%.

The salary range for this role is $77,700.00 - $116,200.00 annually. This position is also eligible for a holiday gift. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
