The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining safety and security on healthcare campuses through unarmed patrols and monitoring alarm systems. They also assist in investigations and work to deter criminal activity and misconduct.
Candidates must have a High School diploma/GED, a valid driver's license, and either police/military service or one year of security/customer service experience. Required certifications include BLS, CHSO, and NIMS within the first year of hire.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Security Officer functions in an unarmed security post for OSF HealthCare campuses. Security officers are responsible for the safety and security within OSF HealthCare campuses by conducting unarmed patrol, monitoring alarm systems, assisting in investigations, and deterring criminal activity and misconduct.
