The National Commercial Underwriter will underwrite title insurance policies for commercial real estate transactions and negotiate coverage terms with principals and attorneys. They will also assist escrow officers in closing transactions and serve as a technical resource for sales teams and clients.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and at least 5 years of experience in underwriting and closing multi-site commercial real estate transactions. A solid understanding of state-by-state title insurance guidelines, endorsement availability, and policy coverage is required.
Old Republic National Title Insurance Company seeks an experienced National Commercial Underwriter in its national commercial office in Chicago. In this role, you will underwrite title insurance policy coverages for commercial real estate transactions. Assist national commercial escrow officers in closing transactions and negotiate policy coverage and endorsement coverage in connection with the issuance of owner’s and loan title insurance policies. You will also serve as a resource for salespeople and their clients when they have title insurance and/or real estate questions.

The estimated pay range stated represents the typical pay range for this position or similarly employed employees or employees performing substantially similar work. Factors which may be used to determine the actual pay rate may include, but are not limited to, education, training or experience; seniority; merit and work performance; quantity or quality of production; regional differences in compensation; differences in local minimum wages, or ability and effort.
Position's Pay Range:
