The Cardiac Sonographer performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping, and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests for adult and geriatric patients. They are also responsible for maintaining performance improvement documentation in accordance with IAC standards.
Candidates must hold a credential in echocardiography such as RDCS, RCS, RCCS, CRCS, or ACS, along with an American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification. A graduate degree from an accredited sonography or cardiovascular technology program is preferred.
