Reporting to the Operations Manager you will provide technical leadership, mentor a team of Application Engineers, and ensure the successful delivery of complex integrated security solutions for our global clients.
This role combines people leadership, technical expertise, and operational management. You'll work closely with Project Management, Design, Commissioning, and Operations teams to deliver high-quality solutions while developing a high-performing engineering team and driving continuous improvement across the business.

What You'll Do
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Application Engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Manage the day-to-day activities, scheduling, and resource planning of the Application Engineering team to support project delivery across the APAC region.
Partner with Project Management, Design, and Operations teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and successfully delivered.
Review customer requirements, contracts, and technical standards to ensure projects are delivered on time and in accordance with client expectations.
Provide technical oversight for system engineering, application configuration, testing, commissioning, and system optimization.
Support estimating activities by reviewing project requirements and providing application engineering estimates.
Develop system architectures, server configurations, databases, applications, and services that meet customer specifications and industry best practices.
Oversee system testing, commissioning, backups, maintenance, and performance optimization to ensure reliable system operation.
Review Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Requests for Quotation (RFQs), providing technical input to support successful project execution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop Statements of Work and review project plans to identify risks and recommend improvements.
Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance engineering processes, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety policies and maintain a safe working environment for employees and customers.
Support customer meetings, technical presentations, troubleshooting, and post-implementation support as required.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
Minimum of five years of experience managing technical teams with direct people leadership responsibilities.
Strong background in integrated security systems, application engineering, or systems integration.
Experience leading engineering teams responsible for enterprise-level technical projects.
Strong understanding of server operating systems, databases, networking, and application configuration.
Excellent project planning, resource management, and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop technical professionals.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multicultural, and global environment.
Leadership Responsibilities
Lead workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning for the Application Engineering team.
Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and coaching conversations to support employee development.
Approve timesheets, expense reports, and paid time off requests.
Identify training and development opportunities to enhance both technical and leadership capabilities.
Partner with global Professional Services leaders to promote technical consistency and best practices across regions.
Collaborate with Service and Installation leadership to develop career pathways into the Application Engineering organization.
Support business planning by monitoring team capacity, utilization, and future hiring needs.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.
