The Maintenance Foreman provides daily direction and hands-on supervision to in-house maintenance staff and outside contractors for school district properties. Responsibilities include managing predictive/preventive maintenance programs, overseeing personnel, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Candidates must have at least three years of journeyman-level experience in a building trade and previous experience supervising maintenance personnel. A valid driver's license and proficiency in English are required, with experience in HVAC and CMMS highly preferred.
The Maintenance Foreman is a working, journeyman level, position which will provide daily direction and hands on supervision to the in-house maintenance staff and outside contractors.
This position will support the Nome Public Schools in Nome, AK. Seeking to hire Nome residents only. Drivers license is required.
Description: Indoor/Outdoor – occasional exposure to harsh weather conditions; requires work to be done both inside and outside.
Noise level: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical requirements: Employee is required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.
