The Grants Accountant manages the financial lifecycle of federal and state grant funding, including budget tracking and financial reporting. They ensure strict compliance with regulations and coordinate grant close-out processes with program managers.
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required along with 2 to 3 years of experience in federal or state grant programs. Candidates must possess a valid Louisiana Driver's License and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

JOB SUMMARY
The Grants Accountant is responsible for managing the financial lifecycle of grant funding, tracking grant budgets, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years’ experience in working with federal/state grant programs, including submission, grant approval, implementation, closeout, or comparable experience or any combination of education and experience deemed to be comparable.
LICENSING REQUIREMENTS/DEMANDS
A valid Louisiana Driver's License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Normal office environment.
