The Medical Assistant provides patient-centered care including preparing patients for exams, administering medications, and performing lab procedures. They are also responsible for maintaining sterile equipment and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, a Medical Assistant program certificate, and BLS/CPR certification. National CCMA certification is required or must be obtained within 180 days of employment.
