The Senior Specialist acts as a safety champion by implementing incident prevention and regulatory compliance activities for employees and contractors. This includes conducting cultural assessments, providing safety coaching to leadership, and analyzing incident trends to develop safety plans.
A bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of occupational safety experience, including 3 years in the utility sector, are required. Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, or CHST and a valid driver's license are preferred.

Salary
$107,000 - $120,000 a year
National Grid utilizes an assessment that evaluates the job qualifications/characteristics using AI or statistically based scoring. For more information, please view NYC Local Law 144.
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
