The Quality Assurance Auditor is responsible for monitoring product quality throughout the production process and documenting daily samples. They must also communicate quality trends to leadership and ensure compliance with safety and PPE requirements.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and two to five years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a tannery. The role requires the ability to lift up to 100 pounds and proficiency in basic reading, writing, and arithmetic.
National Beef Leathers of St. Joseph, Missouri, is seeking a qualified professional to join our team as a Night Shift Quality Assurance Auditor. 3 ½ day Work Week with a 4 week work day rotation
Input quality attributes and monitor product quality throughout the production process
Communicate quality concerns, trends, and issues with Production personnel and leadership
Collect, evaluate, and document daily samples
Promote and support a safe work environment, including compliance with all PPE requirements
Provide departmental coverage as needed
Participate in cross-training and become proficient in all Quality Assurance functions
Maintain accurate quality records and documentation
Knowledgeable in Hide Brand Sortation
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management
This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.
Must be able to read and write in English
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery. This is normally acquired through two to five years of manufacturing experience in a tannery or a previous Quality Assurance position
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
Availability to work all shifts, flexible hours, flexible days/evenings to include weekends and holidays
Conceptual/Analytical thinking

Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
