About NAES
At NAES, you’ll find engaging and challenging career opportunities across conventional power generation, renewable energy, energy storage, grid operations and complex industrial facilities. At every level of the company, our people share a common goal: to instill confidence in our clients through a steadfast commitment to safety, integrity, and the quality of our work.
NAES is largest independent operator of power facilities in the industry, managing more than 400 facilities and over 60 GW of generation under contract across the United States, Canada, Mexico and the UK. Powered by a team of roughly 4,000 people, we now support the full life cycle of energy and industrial plants — from development and construction through operations, optimization, digital transformation and decommissioning — giving our employees the opportunity to grow their careers while helping to modernize the critical infrastructure that keeps communities running.
Summary
Lead the architecture, design, and evolution of enterprise business application solutions across Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain, Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, Power Platform, analytics, and related Microsoft technologies to support long-term business strategy, operational efficiency, and scalable digital transformation.
Primary Duties
Lead solution architecture and design for Dynamics 365 and related Microsoft business applications, ensuring alignment with business strategy, enterprise architecture standards, and long-term platform roadmaps.
Partner with business stakeholders, functional leads, and delivery teams to translate business requirements into scalable end-to-end solutions across Dynamics 365 F&SC, CE, Power Platform, Microsoft 365, and adjacent enterprise systems.
Define and review application, data, security, and integration architectures, including approaches for Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, APIs, middleware, reporting, and interoperability with ERP and other line-of-business platforms.
Provide hands-on architectural leadership, technical guidance, and mentoring to project teams, supporting solution quality, design consistency, environment strategy, release planning, and adoption of Microsoft best practices.
Ensure proposed solutions are supportable, secure, compliant, and cost-effective, while balancing business value, implementation timelines, licensing considerations, and operational sustainability.
Present architecture options, solution recommendations, and implementation tradeoffs to business and technology leaders, building alignment on design decisions, priorities, risks, and dependencies.
Contribute to governance, standards, reusable design patterns, and architectural documentation for the Microsoft solutions landscape, including finance, CRM, customer service, sales, case management, automation, and analytics capabilities.
Working Relationships
Work closely with business leaders, product owners, ERP and CRM functional teams, developers, infrastructure and security teams, data and reporting teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders to define and deliver Microsoft business application solutions that meet operational, financial, customer, and transformation objectives. Provides architectural leadership across cross-functional initiatives and reports to the Director, Digital Transformation.
Compensation
The initial compensation will range from $152,200 to $175,100 depending on experience.
Job Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business, engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent. Relevant work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
Years of Experience:
Seven years of progressive experience in solution architecture, enterprise applications, or business systems design, including significant experience with Microsoft business application platforms.
Experience serving as a Solutions Architect, Enterprise Architect, Functional Architect, or similar senior role supporting ERP, CRM, and digital transformation initiatives.
Experience translating business requirements into scalable functional and technical solution designs, including integrations, security models, data architecture, reporting, and application lifecycle management.
Software/Equipment Knowledge:
Experience architecting and delivering solutions across Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain, Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, Power Platform, and related Microsoft technologies in complex enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of Power Platform, including Dataverse, model-driven applications, Power Automate, and extensibility approaches that support enterprise-scale solutions.
Experience with Microsoft integration and data patterns, including APIs, middleware, reporting platforms, and interoperability with third-party and legacy systems.
Other Considerations:
Ability to design secure, scalable, supportable, and governable solutions, including environment strategy, role-based security, compliance alignment, release management, and lifecycle planning.
Strong facilitation, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to present architecture options, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to align technology solutions with long-term business goals, platform roadmaps, licensing considerations, operational needs, and transformation priorities.
Experience establishing standards, reusable patterns, governance practices, and implementation guidance across enterprise Microsoft solution landscapes.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Work is primarily performed in a professional office or remote environment with extended periods of computer use, virtual collaboration, meetings, and document review. May require occasional travel for project workshops, stakeholder meetings, training, or implementation activities.
