Engineering Project Manager – Lead Innovation That Protects Lives

 

Are you ready to lead meaningful projects that make a real difference? We’re looking for a passionate and driven Engineering Project Manager to join our team and help shape the future of fire safety. In this role, you’ll lead cross-functional teams to bring innovative, life-saving products to market—products that literally protect from head to toe.

 

You’ll report to the Global Program Manager, Fire Service, and take ownership of new product development (NPD) projects, from concept to launch. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and want to see your work make a global impact, we’d love to meet you.

Qualifications Note

• This position is available at three different career levels based upon experience, education, etc.
  • Engineering Project Specialist-3 years project management / engineering experience
  • Sr. Engineering Project Specialist - minimum 5 years of project management / engineering experience
  • Engineering Project Manager I - minimum 7 years of project management / engineering experience
  • Master's degree may be substituted for up to 2 years of relevant experience

Engineering Project Manager (m/w/d) – Gestalte Innovationen, die Leben schützen

 

Du möchtest Projekte nicht nur verwalten, sondern wirklich etwas bewegen? Dann könnte das hier genau die richtige Herausforderung für dich sein. Als Engineering Project Manager (m/w/d) übernimmst du eine zentrale Rolle bei der Entwicklung innovativer Produkte für den Feuerwehr- und Rettungseinsatz. Gemeinsam mit interdisziplinären Teams bringst du neue Lösungen von der ersten Idee bis zur Markteinführung auf den Weg – Produkte, die Menschen im Einsatz schützen und im Ernstfall Leben retten.

 

Dabei arbeitest du eng mit unserem Global Program Manager Fire Service zusammen und steuerst spannende Entwicklungsprojekte in einem internationalen Umfeld.

• Du koordinierst interdisziplinäre Projektteams und sorgst dafür, dass Ziele termingerecht und innerhalb des Budgets erreicht werden.
• Du steuerst Entwicklungsprojekte unterschiedlicher Größenordnungen – von Produktverbesserungen bis hin zu neuen Plattform- und Produktgenerationen.
• Du arbeitest an einer vielseitigen Produktpalette für den professionellen Feuerwehr- und Rettungseinsatz – von Helmen über Schutzbekleidung bis hin zu Sicherheitsschuhen.
• Du förderst eine offene, respektvolle und teamorientierte Zusammenarbeit.
• Du kommunizierst sicher mit internen und externen Stakeholdern und hältst alle Beteiligten auf dem aktuellen Stand.
• Du bewertest technische Anforderungen, Risiken und Prioritäten und unterstützt fundierte Entscheidungen.
• Du übersetzt Kundenbedürfnisse in konkrete Produktanforderungen und Spezifikationen.
• Du unterstützt und motivierst Projektteams, setzt Prioritäten und hältst Projekte auf Kurs.
• Du nutzt Projektmanagement-Methoden und Tools, um Fortschritte transparent zu machen und Herausforderungen frühzeitig zu erkennen.
• Du bringst eigene Ideen ein und arbeitest kontinuierlich daran, Produkte und Prozesse weiterzuentwickeln.

Das bringst du mit

• Ein abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich Ingenieurwesen oder einer vergleichbaren technischen Fachrichtung.
• Erste Erfahrungen im Projektmanagement, Produktmanagement oder in der technischen Produktentwicklung.
• Interesse daran, mit verschiedenen Bereichen wie Entwicklung, Marketing, Produktion, Qualitätssicherung und Testing zusammenzuarbeiten.
• Spaß daran, innovative und kundenorientierte Produkte voranzubringen.
• Erfahrung mit gängigen Projektmanagement-Tools, z. B. MS Project, Jira oder ähnlichen Anwendungen.
• Eine strukturierte, organisierte und lösungsorientierte Arbeitsweise.
• Die Fähigkeit, technische Inhalte verständlich und zielgruppengerecht zu kommunizieren.
• Flexibilität im Umgang mit unterschiedlichen Arbeitsweisen und Projektmethoden (klassisch, agil oder hybrid).
• Teamgeist, Eigeninitiative und die Motivation, Verantwortung zu übernehmen.

 

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Zertifizierung als PMP (Project Management Professional)

Hinweis zu den Qualifikationen

• Die konkrete Einstufung erfolgt abhängig von Qualifikation, Ausbildung und relevanter Berufserfahrung. Für die einzelnen Karrierestufen gelten folgende Richtwerte:
  • Engineering Project Specialist: 0-3 Jahre relevanter Berufserfahrung
  • Senior Engineering Project Specialist: ab 5 Jahren relevanter Berufserfahrung
  • Engineering Project Manager I: ab 7 Jahren relevanter Berufserfahrung
• Ein Masterabschluss kann dabei bis zu zwei Jahre relevanter Berufserfahrung ersetzen.
