StripSteak is a modern American steakhouse combined with a unique blend of Asian influence and signature Chef Michael Mina flair. An inventive, and highly curated menu offers guests the best seafood and signature cuts of premium beef, as well as classic Chef Mina favorites. Located on the 3rd floor Grand Lanai in the International Market Place in Waikiki, StripSteak offers sizzling satisfaction and upscale respite after a day in paradise. The seasonally driven menu highlights the finest in local ingredients, signature sides and eclectic wines and spirits, all combined with attentive service and genuine hospitality.

About the Role:

As a Line Cook with StripSteak, you will be an essential part of our culinary team, executing dishes with precision, consistency, and care. You’ll uphold our high standards of quality while working alongside passionate chefs in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. This role is perfect for a motivated cook with strong fundamentals and a drive to learn and grow.

Our Ideal candidate is:


A motivated culinary professional who is organized, detail oriented and knowledgeable. You will be an integral part of our kitchen team with a passion for food and a guest first mentality. You have amazing attention to detail, work well as part of a team, and work well under pressure. You uphold culinary standards of excellence and are comfortable working on multiple stations in the kitchen. You have a strong desire to learn and build your culinary skillset.

What you bring to the table:

  • 2-4 years’ experience in a fine dining or casual fine dining high volume kitchen

  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, guests, and your peers

  • Extensive knowledge of food and cooking techniques including knifework, plating, portioning, and precision cooking

  • A positive, “can do” attitude

  • Knowledge of kitchen safety protocols

  • Ability to learn and retain information quickly

  • Intellectual curiosity

  • Ability to work clean, organized, and as part of a team

  • Able to move and lift 40 pounds at a time

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period
