Summary:
The 310T Truck & Coach Apprentice/Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of company vehicles to meet both Ministry and company standards. The successful candidate’s expertise in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic and electrical systems, combined with strong problem-solving skills, will ensure reliable fleet performance and exceptional service throughout the Halton area.
Responsibilities:
In the position of 310T Truck & Coach Apprentice/Technician. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
The service and repair of all Company vehicles to ministry standards and Miller Waste standards.
Will be required to repair and road test equipment, including hydraulics and electrical, as well as shop maintenance.
Will be required to conduct vehicle maintenance according to established MWS policies and procedures.
Maintain all required records and files for vehicle maintenance.
Conduct on-road service calls, as required.
Competencies & Qualifications:
Adhere to Miller Waste safety protocols and be familiar with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Experience diagnosing and resolving faults, with hands-on expertise in repairing and maintaining hydraulic and electrical systems.
Successful candidates must hold and maintain a valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician's license, along with any other required licenses.
Must have at least a valid G Driver’s Licence, DZ Licence would be an asset.
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment and work effectively within a team.
You must be flexible and available to work outside of the regular schedule when there are delays in the truck schedule; you may be required to work outside regular scheduled hours and on rare occasions, weekend work.
Due to a planned site expansion, the successful candidate may be required to transition to the Milton location in 2027.
