The Shipping Coordinator manages inbound and outbound domestic and international logistical operations, including creating shipments and preparing transportation documentation. They collaborate with customer service and the shipping dock to expedite orders and resolve logistical issues.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, meet ITAR US Person requirements, and possess intermediate MS Office skills. Previous logistics experience and familiarity with quality systems like AS9100 or ISO9001 are preferred.
Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the Shipping Coordinator will coordinate outbound and inbound logistical operations both domestically and internationally. Tasks include releasing customer deliveries, creating and finalizing shipments, contacting carriers and preparing transportation documentation. This person will also work with customer service, the department supervisor, and the shipping dock to expedite customer orders and trouble shoot issues that could arise. Will adhere to AS9100 and other quality standards.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, move throughout the facility, bend at the waist and knees, squat, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and communicate. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 40 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds without assistance. Work in office environment within a manufacturing environment, with use of computer (typical 2-button scroll mouse and keyboard). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment may be loud. Must be able to use required personal protective equipment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
