The DEI Coordinator will participate in weekly meetings to determine and further DEI initiatives. They will work on projects, offer new ideas, and generate interest in creating a more inclusive workplace.
Applicants must be current employees of the company who can bring a new perspective to the team. Candidates must be able to attend weekly meetings on Thursdays from 2pm to 3pm.
Our Company has been on its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) journey for six years, but we want to continue to grow and improve on making this an inclusive space for all Merrick employees. For this reason, we put together a committee of employees in 2022 – the DEI Coordinators – to focus on determining and furthering DEI initiatives. Since its founding, this committee has led several successful projects to further its mission, including the creation of our DEI statement, putting together a DEI 101 training course, implementing monthly DEI Celebrations, and more!
We are excited to announce that we are searching for one new member to add to our DEI Coordinators team! The new DEI Coordinator will serve as a part of our team beginning August 2026. We are looking for current employees that would bring a new perspective to our team and assist in future DEI projects. As a part of this team, the new DEI Coordinator would be expected to regularly attend our weekly meetings each Thursday, 2pm – 3pm, at 3210 Labore Road. (Please talk with your supervisor about scheduling needs before applying for this position!) Additionally, DEI Coordinators will work on projects, offer input and new ideas, and generate interest in our efforts to create a more diverse and inclusive workplace. DEI Coordinators will receive a bi-weekly stipend of $25 for their participation.
This committee aims to increase participation in company activities, create opportunities and pathways for personal and professional growth, and make our workplace better for all employees.

We will use the BambooHR application questions and participation in a round table discussion to select the new DEI Coordinator. We hope to have the one open position filled no later than 8/10/26.
