The Medical Billing Associate processes billing for Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurances while assisting the finance department with financial statements and reporting. They also handle customer service issues, resolve payment discrepancies, and support various accounting functions including payroll and accounts payable.
Candidates must have an Associate degree, with a Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, and at least 2 years of medical billing experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, and strong organizational and communication skills are required.

Position Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Accounting Supervisor, the Medical Billing Associate performs clerical accounting and billing requiring analysis and individual judgement in the application of accounting procedures.

Qualifications
Associates degree required; Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred, and at least 2 years medical billing experience working in a medical setting with exceptional customer service skills.
Required Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of well-defined accounting office practices and procedures is important. Must be proficient in report writing, data entry, word-processing, database management, spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Excel, preferably Microsoft Office. Prior experience with the Ceridian and/or MIP preferred. Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
Work Environment
Starting Rate: $22.00-24.00 Per Hour
