Not only a fundraising position, this role is an opportunity to inspire generosity, strengthen lifelong connections, and create meaningful experiences for alumni, donors, volunteers, and community partners across Kentucky. Whether you're welcoming a first-time donor, reconnecting with Girl Scout alumni, coordinating a community event, or sharing the impact of a gift, your work will help ensure more girls have access to life-changing leadership opportunities.

Essential Responsibilities 

Annual Fund & Donor Stewardship 

• Coordinate the council's annual fund calendar, including direct mail, digital appeals, Giving Tuesday/KY Gives Day initiatives, year-end giving, and other annual fundraising initiatives.  
• Manage donor acknowledgments, stewardship communications, and recognition efforts to ensure a meaningful and timely donor experience.  
• Maintain accurate donor records and gift documentation within the donor database.  
• Monitor annual fund metrics and prepare reports that support fundraising strategies and organizational decision-making.  
• Support donor cultivation by coordinating meetings, preparing materials and collateral, and assisting with follow-up activities.  
• Collaborate with the Communications team to develop compelling donor stories and fundraising content and marketing plan.  

Alumni Engagement 

• Develop and implement strategies that strengthen relationships with Girl Scout alumni across the council.  
• Build and maintain an active alumni database while identifying opportunities to reconnect former members and volunteers.  
• Coordinate alumni communications, networking opportunities, recognition initiatives, and special events.  
• Create meaningful pathways for alumni to engage through volunteering, mentoring, advocacy, and philanthropy.  

Events & Community Engagement 

• Coordinate donor, alumni, and community engagement events that strengthen relationships and increase visibility for the organization.  
• Represent Girl Scouts at community events, networking opportunities, and partner functions.  
• Assist in cultivating corporate and community partnerships that support fundraising and mission advancement.  
• Support volunteer committees and event volunteers as assigned.  

Database & Administrative Support 

• Maintain donor, alumni, and prospect information with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.  
• Facilitate connections and relationships with third party contracts or consultants. 
• Generate reports, mailing lists, acknowledgments, and other fundraising materials as needed.  
• Assist with prospect research and donor pipeline development.  
• Support department budgeting, recordkeeping, and administrative projects.  

Requirements

Education and Experience 

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, fundraising, business, public relations, or a related field preferred, or four years of equivalent professional experience.  
• Experience in fundraising, donor relations, alumni engagement, event planning, marketing, customer engagement, or nonprofit development preferred.  
• Experience working with donor management or CRM systems preferred.  
• Demonstrated ability to build authentic relationships with diverse stakeholders.  
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.  
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with donor databases and fundraising software preferred.

• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.  
• Ability to travel throughout the council jurisdiction.  
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Prolonged periods of sitting, computer work, and driving.  
• Ability to operate standard office equipment.  
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.  
• Frequent standing and walking during meetings, events, and community activities.
