Purpose of the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially driven New Business Account Manager to take ownership of driving profitable growth through the identification, pursuit, and conversion of new business opportunities within the packaging sector.
This is a true hunter role, focused on business development and market expansion. You will be responsible for proactively identifying and approaching new customers, opening new commercial opportunities, and converting these into long-term partnerships. You will play a key role in expanding our market presence by targeting new prospects and generating sustainable revenue growth across your assigned territory.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Proactively identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the assigned region
Develop and execute prospecting strategies to grow market share and revenue
Build and develop new customer relationships from initial engagement through to commercial agreement
Conduct market research to identify target sectors, customers, and growth opportunities
Develop and maintain reliable sales pipelines and forecasting systems
Lead commercial negotiations with new clients
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure successful onboarding of new customers
Ensure adherence to company commercial processes using required tools and systems (e.g. Salesforce / NPPI / NOC)
Support and manage nominated new business projects
Collate and analyse market and competitor data to inform sales strategy
Functional Knowledge and Technical Skills Within Own and Other Areas
Demonstrable experience in a new business / business development sales role
Experience within the packaging sector is preferred but not essential
Proven track record in generating and closing new business opportunities
Strong prospecting, negotiation, and influencing skills
Ability to make sound commercial decisions in complex environments
Strong project and pipeline management skills
Experience working effectively within a cross-functional, matrix organisation
Educational Requirements / Qualifications and Experience
Educated to degree standard or equivalent
Experience working with CRM tools (preferably Salesforce)
Key Competencies
Fluent in English and Dutch (German language would be advantageous)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence new stakeholders
Strong organisational, planning, and time-management skills
Resilient, self-motivated, and target-driven
Comfortable working with data and managing commercial pipelines
What we offer
Expected salary in the range of €59,000 – €97,000, depending on experience
