Kinatico is seeking a Software Developer to design, build and maintain the software that drives compliance and people-management outcomes for thousands of organisations. You will turn ideas and technical specifications into high quality, production ready code, working across our products alongside designers, product managers and other developers who care about doing great work.

Here is the part most developers get excited about: we are an AI-first engineering team. We build in C# and .NET, Python and modern JavaScript and TypeScript, on AWS. Using AI coding tools is not something you sneak past anyone here, it is genuinely how we build, across the full development lifecycle from ideation and coding through to testing and documentation. If you already know your way around tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code or Cursor, you will feel right at home. Your credibility comes from what you ship, not your title.

Kinatico CVCheck has been the trusted name in background screening and verification since 2005. Kinatico Compliance is our next generation platform, a single, secure environment for managing people compliance end to end.

About you:

• You write clean, testable, maintainable code and care about getting it right
• You are fluent with AI coding assistants, and just as important, you know when to trust them and when not to
• You are comfortable across backend, frontend or full stack as the work demands
• You are a natural problem solver who enjoys untangling tricky bugs and performance puzzles
• You communicate well, share what you learn, and lift the people around you
• You adapt quickly when priorities, tools and technologies shift, because in our world they will
• You bring at least 3 years of software development experience and a track record of leading and contributing to complex projects
• You are confident in one or more of C# and .NET, or Python, or JavaScript and TypeScript
• You know your way around Git, code reviews and Agile or Scrum ways of working
• Familiarity with cloud platforms is a plus, AWS especially, along with modern deployment patterns
• A degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field

• Build great software: design, code, test and debug applications that are high quality, efficient and a pleasure to maintain
• Lean into AI: use AI coding tools to move faster and lift quality, while reviewing, validating and owning every line as your own
• Solve real problems: translate user needs and requirements into solutions that genuinely move the business forward
• Squash the gremlins: track down defects, performance issues and bottlenecks, and resolve them with a cool head
• Share and grow: join code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions, including showing the team your best AI tooling tricks
• Stay curious: explore emerging tech and new AI developer tooling, and help raise our AI Development Life Cycle maturity
• Document with care: write clear design specs, guides and comments that future you will thank you for
