Full job description

Real Estate & Business Transaction Paralegal

Position Overview:

The Real Estate & Business Transactions Paralegal supports the Legal team across a broad range of real estate and corporate transactional matters. This role blends traditional real estate paralegal work — related to purchase and sale agreements as well as ancillary real estate acquisition documentation, business and nonprofit formations for real estate acquisition and HOAs and administration of such  — with general business transaction support, including contract drafting and review and entity documentation for the company's broader commercial dealings. The paralegal helps manage legal documentation and coordinates communication between internal teams, outside counsel, and external stakeholders to ensure transactions moving efficiently. This role is hybrid-eligible, based on work availability and team needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work on real estate documents like purchase agreements, easements, deeds of dedication, and HOA-related documentation.
  • Support business transactions across the company by, in part, working on and reviewing commercial documentation.
  • Supporting due diligence efforts for real estate transactions.
  • Assisting in the creating non-profit Homeowners Associations (HOAs) and supporting legal efforts relative to such.
  • Communicate with outside counsel, title companies, lenders, real estate agents, company personnel, HOA boards, and other stakeholders to gather information and resolve inquiries.
  • Manage and organize transaction and corporate files, ensuring accurate and accessible documentation and tracking key dates and obligations.
  • Provide general administrative support to the legal team, including scheduling, calendar management, and preparing correspondence.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution, or 2-3 years of experience as a real estate or business transactions paralegal or similar role.
  • Proficiency in legal research, document drafting, and contract review.
  • Solid understanding of real estate processes and general business/corporate transaction fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
  • Familiarity with electronic document management systems. (Preferred)
  • Prior experience in a law firm, real estate company, or corporate legal department. (Preferred)
$60,000-$70,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Keystone Custom Homes offers competitive benefits including medical/dental/vision coverage, 401(k), and paid time off.
