Description

The Assistant Project Manager is a team player who works closely with an assigned PM as part of a client-facing team. The Assistant Project Manager provides administrative and tactical support and processing for tasks that require keen attention to detail. Assistant Project Managers have designated tasks to perform on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. They may not be the primary point of contact, but their value cannot be understated to the success of a project and program. This role must function with an entrepreneurial mindset and be a resourceful problem solver with a keen sense of urgency. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for supporting key metrics and deliverables. 

Job Duties:

  • Support PM in the definition of Project Scope, Goals, and Deliverables across the program
  • Help to prepare Project Budgets for each project in the program
  • Coordinates multiple vendors across various trades to achieve overall program goals
  • Tracks vendor deliverables across multisite projects
  • Coordinates documentation and uploading information into Smartsheet
  • Reports and Communicates Progress of the Projects to Project Manager
  • Coordinates project closeout and necessary documentation with vendor and brand
  • Tracks Issue Resolution/punch list
  • Constantly learning as industry trends emerge

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED Required
  • Minimum of two years of experience in project management 
  • Experience in Petroleum Equipment Industry is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, namely Outlook and Excel
  • Preferred proficiency with Smartsheet
  • Basic knowledge of fuel system assessment, repair, and maintenance
  • Process oriented, adhering to maintain metrics which are mandated in the JF Petroleum Group SLA
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Critical thinker and problem solver, able to interpret data
  • Clear and deliberate communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to other states as the job demands
  • Ability to successfully manage and complete a high volume of work at any given time
  • Function in an open environment without becoming distracted
  • Willingness to be cross trained to support the team as the need arises
  • Successful completion of background and drug screening upon hire
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be able to meet company’s employment requirements, which includes passing a drug screen, background check, and MVR, if driving for the company 
  • Physical Requirements: include occasional lifting/carrying of 10 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
