Now, only nine years after being founded, close to 8 million citizens use the itsme® app to identify themselves and sign documents online. Starting in Belgium, we successfully launched the itsme app in 32 European countries, with the ambition of becoming an internationally leading player.

We are looking for an experienced Solutions Sales Engineer to join our growing revenue team who blends commercial acumen, business storytelling, and technical credibility. This is a new role that sits at the intersection of sales, technology, and product, accelerating new enterprise deals and helping existing customers understand, evaluate, and adopt innovative digital identity solutions.

As a trusted technical advisor, you will work closely with Account Executives and Account Managers to accelerate enterprise deal cycles, remove technical barriers to adoption, and increase customer confidence throughout the buying journey. Your primary objective is to shorten time-to-close for strategic enterprise opportunities by translating complex technical capabilities into compelling business outcomes. You aren’t just supporting sales, you are the technical closer.

You will play a critical and strategic role in supporting new customer acquisition, multi-product adoption, strategic expansions, and the successful positioning of innovative identity use cases.

What your job looks like

Accelerate enterprise revenue

• Partner with Account Executives and Account Managers on strategic enterprise opportunities from qualification through contract signature

• Identify and mitigate technical risks early in the sales cycle

• Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer architectures, design workflows, integration requirements, and business objectives

• Design solution approaches that align customer needs with product capabilities

• Support enterprise expansion opportunities by identifying adjacent use cases and additional product fit

Drive technical validation

• Deliver tailored product demonstrations and solution workshops

• Guide customers through architecture reviews, API discussions, integration planning, and security assessments

• Collaborate with Product, Product marketing, and Customer Onboarding teams to facilitate pilots, proof-of-concepts, and sandbox environments

• Build confidence among technical and business stakeholders during evaluation processes

Act as a strategic technical advisor

• Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions

• Support executive-level conversations with technical credibility and consultative insight

• Contribute to account planning and strategic opportunity reviews

• Enhance outbound and account-based marketing efforts with technical expertise and industry insights

Build scalable sales assets

• Develop reusable technical and commercial assets that improve sales efficiency, including:

• Demo environments

• API narratives

• Industry-specific solution stories

Provide market feedback

• Capture customer feedback and market insights to influence product strategy and roadmap priorities

• Identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities within the digital identity ecosystem

We are looking for a technical strategist rather than a product configurator. The ideal candidate combines strong technical credibility with commercial acumen and thrives in a fast-paced SaaS or Tech environment. You are proactive, customer-centric, and motivated by helping enterprise customers solve complex challenges while driving revenue growth.

• 4–5+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solution Consultant, Technical Pre-Sales Consultant, or in a similar customer-facing role within B2B SaaS or enterprise technology

• Native in Dutch and full proficient in English and proficient in French

• Demonstrated success influencing and accelerating complex B2B sales cycles

• Experience working with enterprise stakeholders across business, product, security, and engineering teams

• Assertive, with strong objection-handling skills in complex environments

• Able to break down complex issues and identify product gaps to define the best solutions

• A closing mindset, able to speak credibly to C-suite stakeholders

• Strong understanding of SaaS architectures, APIs, integrations, authentication, and cloud-based solutions

• Ability to discuss technical concepts confidently with architects, developers, and security teams

• Experience supporting proof-of-concepts, technical workshops, and enterprise solution design

• Strong storytelling and presentation skills
