Job Overview • Develop, analyze, implement, and oversee both short-term and long-term strategic business processes. • Plan initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, align with the organization’s strategic vision, and achieve financial objectives. • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, economic developments, and regulatory changes to assess and plan for potential impacts on business operations. • Provide business leadership as a member of the country leadership team. • Identify and evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic partnerships, providing recommendations and projecting their financial impact on the organization’s portfolio and capabilities. • Lead, direct, and manage all aspects of the acquisition process. Collaborate with business leaders to identify, develop, and execute investment and development decisions that support organizational growth and ensure effective integration plans.
Essential Functions • Provide strategic planning, development, and support for business and strategic development initiatives. • Oversee global customer accounts and relationships by offering leadership and guidance to both customers and IQVIA project teams. • Implement actions based on lessons learned, driving innovation and best practices across all teams involved in the customer account. • Establish governance structures and provide leadership in joint operational and executive meetings. • Optimize product and brand performance to maximize financial returns for IQVIA. • Leverage IQVIA’s expertise to the benefit of the products and partnership. • Liaise with staff responsible for delivery of specific IQVIA services to develop project management systems and processes across internal and external stakeholders. • Ensure delivery against key metrics, milestones, and contractual obligations across a portfolio of projects, managing expectations around quality, timelines, and financial outcomes. • Recommend strategic programs to establish and maintain business partnerships, and manage IQVIA’s unique deal structures with partners. Efficiently coordinate resources across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. • Recommend programs that drive growth and financial performance. • Manage budget process to maximize clinical and commercial programs for optimal financial returns. • Recommend objectives and long-term plans to achieve partnership goals and foster sustainable business relationships for assigned projects. • Serve as a primary point of contact and relationship manager for customers. • Champion operational excellence in cross-business and cross-country collaborations, and support strategic business planning aligned with Marketing, Consulting, and Sales. • Support the development of annual plans and lead special projects involving research, strategic analysis, and communication. • Identify inorganic growth opportunities and lead M&A projects.
Qualifications • 15+ years of prior relevant experience in strategy, business development, or a related field. • Management consulting and/or corporate strategy experience is highly preferred. • Experience in the healthcare industry or familiarity with IQVIA services is a plus. • Fluency in both Korean and English is required.
