Key Responsibilities:
Safely drive and deliver products to customer job sites, ensuring compliance with all safety procedures.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order.
Secure cargo using ropes, chains, and covers, and load/unload products as necessary.
Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle service, adhering to state and federal regulations.
Collect and verify delivery instructions, routes, and obtain customer signatures for delivered goods.
Report vehicle defects, accidents, or traffic violations promptly.
Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks and ensure cleanliness of the truck's interior.
Read and interpret maps to determine optimal routes for deliveries.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
1-2 years of truck driving experience; 18-24 months preferred.
Completion of a professional truck driving school.
Skills:
Strong judgment and decision-making capabilities.
Excellent time management and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and provide outstanding customer service.
Work Environment:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; moderate noise and temperature levels; good vision and hearing required.
