Requires an experienced individual capable of working 12-hour shifts and managing job-related stress. Must possess skills in welding, reading technical prints, and troubleshooting PLCs and AC/DC drives.

TITLE: Mechanical Technician B
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Ensure production equipment operates efficiently by performing equipment maintenance on a daily basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
Seeking a self-motivated, experienced and dedicated individual.
Must be able to work 12 hours shifts.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems on industrial equipment (including extruders).
Perform routine preventative maintenance.
Mechanical tasks: troubleshoot and repair gear boxes. Troubleshoot and replace bearings, chains, belts and pulleys. MIG weld, Stick weld, drill and tap threaded holes. Read mechanical prints.
Electrical tasks: troubleshoot and replace AC and DC drives, temperature controls, start/stop electrical controls, troubleshoot PLC's, replace and wire 3-phase motors, troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits. Read electrical, building, machine and flow diagram prints.
Basic plumbing skills, knowledge of fittings and thread types.
Complies with all safety rules and procedures.
Maintains and completed all required records.
Individual must be available to work overtime as needed.
Performs other duties as required, or assigned by Supervisor.
