The Caregiver provides day-to-day psycho-social support and assists participants with activities of daily living (ADLs) at the center. They are responsible for fostering a team-focused environment and practicing person-centered care for individuals with memory impairments.
Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 1-2 years of long-term care experience, preferably with dementia populations. A CNA license in Virginia is preferred but not required.

The Caregiver will be responsible for day-to-day activities of participants in groups and as individuals to help meet their psycho-social needs. Caregivers will be responsible for helping to assess the group needs of the participants, help participants with completing ADL’s while at the Center, specifically assuring that the participants have their personal care needs met. Caregivers are also responsible for fostering a team-focused environment as well as practicing Person Centered Care for all participants in their programming and care needs. This position reports directly to the Director of Nursing. This position is Monday-Friday, with a possible schedule during the following operating hours 9:30am-5:30pm.
This position is required to work at least once every 30 days to remain active with Insight.

IMCC also provides a safe and therapeutic environment for people in all stages of dementia. A vital part of IMCC is providing a well-rounded therapeutic recreation program that meets the physical, cognitive and social needs of each participant.
