The role involves preparing work orders, instructions, and labour/material estimates for aircraft programs and component manufacture. The planner ensures technical data accuracy and coordinates with production, purchasing, and engineering to resolve technical issues.
Candidates need 2-4 years of experience as a Planner/Estimator and a Community College Technology diploma in a relevant field. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and eligibility for Canadian and U.S. security clearances are required.

Preparation of work orders and instructions and must understand the scope, application, limitations and references inherent in the applicable approved maintenance program, aircraft work standards, and airworthiness requirements for all of the activity that they prescribe, plan, and enter on work orders.
