Full job description

Role Objective: To manage procurement activities in strict compliance with General Financial Rules (GFR 2017), ensuring transparency, cost efficiency, and timely sourcing of materials, equipment, and services.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors for goods and services.
  • Ensure procurement processes strictly follow GFR provisions, including tendering, bidding, and rate contract procedures.
  • Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and vendor agreements in line with GFR requirements.
  • Maintain audit-ready records for GST, finance, and statutory reporting.
  • Support e-tendering and government e-marketplace (GeM) procurement as per GFR guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain vendor database with performance tracking.
  • Liaise with project teams, finance, and stores for material requirements.
  • Prepare procurement status reports, trackers, and MIS updates for management.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate in Commerce/Business Administration/Engineering
  • 2–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in government or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of GFR 2017, tendering procedures, and GST compliance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and e-procurement portals (GeM).
  • Strong negotiation, documentation, and vendor management skills.
  • Multilingual communication is an added advantage.
