Hitachi Rail in Austria is a full system provider and global supplier of route and train control technology and traffic management systems (e.g. Electronic interlockings, Field elements, Operation Control Centers and dispatching systems, European Train Control System (ETCS)).
As part of the product development team you are responsible for the technical coordination of development and integration of components for new versions of interlocking solutions. SW developer for Railway Application with strong focus on cybersecurity
Analysis of new SW features and reported problems
Active cooperation in creating requirement at requirement workshops
Design of use case scenarios in coordination with the development team
Definition of the data model and design by writing design documentation
Implementation of software extensions, bug fixes and test of the required functions & bug fixes
Module and integration test- Documentation of the implemented SW
Module test of the implemented SW and rework if necessary
Integration of the implemented Modules on the target system
Working in the area of safety critical systems
Technical education, preferably Bachelors studies in Computer Science or similar (FH, HTL)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Software Development
Experience Basic knowledge of UNIX or LINUX
Basic knowledge in:
Work processes by process-controlled development
Higher programming languages (CHILL and C experience advantageous)
Development environments
Bug reporting tools (JIRA preferred)
Security certification is a plus (e.g. ISC-CISSP)
Experience at least with one higher programming language
Systematic approach at designing solutions, holistic and not isolated analysis of problems
Knowledge in security verification & experience in analyzing security related issues (e.g. CVEs)
Excellent level of German and good level of English
The salary for this position starts at € 60.000 gross p.a. Actual compensation is based on experience and qualification
