ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops and expands the company’s local Latino market.
Identify and engage potential clients in alignment with the company's sales goals and strategies, with a pronounced emphasis on the Latino markets.
Gain in-depth knowledge of the company's seafood product line to represent it to prospective clients confidently.
Lead sourcing initiatives for assigned categories, including supplier selection, RFP/RFQ processes, and contract negotiation
Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with company goals
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement value engineering initiatives
Analyze market trends and commodity pricing to support purchasing decisions
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost targets.
Evaluate supplier performance using KPIs and drive corrective actions when needed.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
Mitigate supply risks and develop contingency sourcing plans.
Oversee purchase order processes and ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
Resolve complex supply, pricing, or quality issues
Improve procurement processes, systems, and workflows
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Extensive knowledge of marketing principles and strategies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
A high school diploma or above is required.
At least 10 + years of Seafood purchasing/procurement experience
Salary Range:
