The NOC Technician I monitors the network for outages and impairments in a 24/7 environment to ensure high service availability. They coordinate repair activities with engineering and operations teams while documenting all troubleshooting actions in the ticketing system.
Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree or technical school training preferred. The role requires basic understanding of TCP/IP, network monitoring tools, and the ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Overview of the Position Responsibilities: The NOC Technician I monitors the Bluepeak Provider Network and Services for outages and impairments in a 24 x 7 environment. They coordinate maintenance and repair activities with engineering, operations and vendor personnel to ensure high services availability and quality. They use fault, performance monitoring and configuration management tools along with ticketing system, and event logs to detect and document troubles from initial detection to resolution. . The NOC’s role is to Command, Control and Communicate with resources to help resolve customer impacting issues. If this sounds exciting, please read on.
