The Area Service Manager oversees daily service team operations, including dispatching, parts acquisition, and ensuring high-quality service delivery for customers in Richmond and Virginia. They are also responsible for mentoring technicians, managing financial targets, and collaborating with sales and safety departments to ensure operational efficiency.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in HVAC service or installation and possess an Associate's degree, with a Bachelor's degree preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage union and non-union staff, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required.
The Area Service Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the Service Team in delivering superior service and for performing tasks related to the administration, implementation, maintenance and management of the Service Team. This role will be focused on our service teams that support customers in Richmond and greater Virginia markets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other functions may be assigned.
This position supervises union and non-union employees.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. On occasion lift and/or move more than 75 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
