Overview
The Pump & Power Account Manager is a customer facing, field based role responsible for driving revenue growth across our pump and power generation product lines. This position combines technical expertise, relationship building, and strategic account management to deliver solutions that keep our customers’ operations running safely, efficiently, and reliably. You will be the primary point of contact for contractors, industrial clients, utilities, and other organizations that rely on temporary or permanent pump and power systems.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Territory Management
Own and grow a defined territory, maintaining regular in person contact with customers across construction, industrial, municipal, and commercial sectors.
Develop a deep understanding of customer operations, project timelines, and equipment needs to position our pump and power solutions effectively.
Build long term relationships with decision makers, field supervisors, and procurement teams.
Sales & Revenue Growth
Identify new business opportunities and convert them into profitable sales.
Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and solution recommendations tailored to customer requirements.
Meet or exceed monthly and annual revenue targets for pump and power equipment, rentals, and services.
Technical Expertise & Solution Design
Assess job sites and customer applications to recommend the right pumps, generators, transfer switches, distribution equipment, and related accessories.
Collaborate with operations teams to ensure equipment availability, delivery, installation, and service meet customer expectations.
Provide basic troubleshooting guidance and coordinate technical support when needed.
Project & Account Support
Monitor ongoing customer projects to ensure equipment performance and customer satisfaction.
Manage contract renewals, extensions, and upsell opportunities.
Maintain accurate CRM records, including activity logs, pipeline updates, and forecasting.
Market & Competitive Insight
Track market trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to help shape sales strategy.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
Requirements
Qualifications
Experience in pump, power generation, industrial equipment, or construction equipment sales strongly preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand technical specifications.
Proven track record of field based account management or outside sales success.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills.
Ability to work independently, manage a territory, and prioritize multiple customer needs.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned region.
