  • Assist with Microsoft 365 and Hybrid Exchange-related support, including Outlook troubleshooting, mailbox access, shared mailbox support, distribution groups, and basic email flow issues.
  • Escalate advanced server, Exchange, Microsoft 365, security, or infrastructure issues to the outside Systems Administrator with clear notes and documented troubleshooting steps.

Network and Physical Layer Support

  • Maintain and troubleshoot the physical layer of the network, including patch cables, wall ports, switches, network drops, racks, cable management, and device connectivity.
  • Assist with identifying network issues related to cabling, ports, VLAN placement, device connections, or failed hardware.
  • Install, move, label, and document network-connected devices as needed.
  • Coordinate with the Systems Administrator on switch, firewall, wireless, and infrastructure-related issues.

Printers, Phones, Cameras, and Peripheral Support

  • Provide support for network printers, copiers, scanners, label printers, and other printing devices.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot phone systems and physical handsets, including moves, replacements, cabling, and basic user support.
  • Assist with camera system maintenance, including physical camera checks, connectivity, mounting coordination, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Support installation and maintenance of miscellaneous technology equipment used throughout the company.

Documentation and Communication

  • Document issues, resolutions, equipment changes, user requests, and troubleshooting steps clearly and consistently.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, vendors, management, and the outside Systems Administrator.
  • Follow established procedures while also helping improve internal documentation and technical processes.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of deployed equipment, spare hardware, phones, printers, cameras, and peripherals.

Essential Functions:

  • Experience providing Tier 1 and/or Tier 2 IT support in a business or corporate environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems.
  • Basic understanding of Active Directory, user accounts, security groups, permissions, and domain-joined computers.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office, Outlook, Microsoft 365, and general email-related issues.
  • Familiarity with Exchange environments, including Hybrid Exchange with on-premises and cloud components.
  • Basic networking knowledge, including IP addresses, DNS, DHCP, switches, patch panels, Ethernet cabling, wireless connectivity, and network troubleshooting.
  • Ability to troubleshoot printers, phones, cameras, workstations, peripherals, and other onsite technical equipment.
  • Comfortable working with physical equipment, cabling, racks, devices, and end-user hardware.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical users.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a hybrid Microsoft environment with both on-premises infrastructure and cloud services.
  • Experience with Exchange On-Premises, Exchange Online, shared mailboxes, distribution groups, and Outlook connectivity.
  • Experience with VoIP phone systems, security cameras, access control systems, or network-connected building systems.
  • Experience working alongside an outside MSP, consultant, or Systems Administrator.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems, documentation platforms, remote support tools, and asset tracking.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices, MFA, endpoint protection, patching, and access control.

Work Environment:

This is an onsite position supporting a large corporate environment. The technician will regularly work at desks, offices, network closets, production or operational areas, and other company facilities as needed.
