Position Summary:



The Contract Specialist supports the full lifecycle of contracts at Greater Health Now (GHN), ensuring agreements are effectively developed, executed, tracked, and maintained in alignment with organizational priorities and regulatory requirements.

This role works cross-functionally with leadership, finance, operations, and program teams to coordinate contract processes, maintain compliance, and support successful partner and vendor relationships. The Contract Manager plays a key role in strengthening internal systems and ensuring contracts align with GHN’s mission to improve community health and advance health equity.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to: Sr. Director of People, Systems, and Culture

Dotted-line reports to: N/A

Essential Job Functions

Contract Development & Coordination

  • Draft, review, and coordinate a variety of agreements including MOUs, BAAs, MSAs, SOWs, and vendor contracts.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts align with program goals, funding requirements, and GHN priorities.
  • Support leadership in contract negotiation preparation and documentation.
  • Coordinate review and approval workflows across leadership, legal, and finance.

Contract Lifecycle Management

  • Manage contracts from initiation through execution, monitoring, and closeout.
  • Maintain a centralized contract repository ensuring accurate documentation and accessibility.
  • Track key milestones, deliverables, and renewal timelines and proactively communicate with stakeholders.
  • Manage amendments, extensions, and modifications in alignment with internal processes.

Compliance & Risk Support

  • Monitor contracts for adherence to requirements, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Identify potential risks or compliance concerns and escalate appropriately.
  • Support inclusion of appropriate legal and compliance provisions in partnership with leadership and legal counsel.
  • Assist with audits and documentation reviews as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a point of contact for contract-related coordination across GHN teams.
  • Work closely with Finance to align contract terms with budgets and payment structures.
  • Partner with Operations, Performance Improvement, and program teams to support onboarding and partner success.
  • Provide guidance to staff on contract processes, tools, and expectations.

Systems, Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Maintain and utilize contract management systems and tracking tools.
  • Develop reports on contract status, renewals, and key metrics for leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve contract workflows and increase efficiency.
  • Support development and maintenance of templates, standard language, and internal tools.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in contract management, program operations, or related field.
  • Experience coordinating contracts across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred:

  • Experience in healthcare, public health, nonprofit, or government-funded programs.
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management systems.
  • Understanding of compliance, funding requirements, or regulatory environments.
