Responsible for the medical treatment and stabilization of patients in accordance with EMS protocols and physician direction. Ensures the emergency vehicle and medical equipment are properly inventoried, maintained, and ready for service.
Requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and current state-specific EMT certification. Candidates must also hold a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification and meet company insurance standards.
Under general supervision, performs work of moderate difficulty in the performance of the duties of your licensed level within Gold Cross EMS, including operation of an emergency vehicle, and performs related work as required. Responsible for medical treatment and stabilization of all patients using definitive techniques, under the direction of a physician, in accordance with state EMS policies, scope of practice, current approved Gold Cross EMS protocols, and professional codes of conduct and services.
