The discipline that executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. Process that proceeds from concept to production to operation. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.

Essential Responsibilities
The Structural and Civil Engineer is a highly skilled professional responsible for handling the design, development, and management of complex civil and structural engineering projects. This role involves applying advanced engineering principles to solve intricate problems, ensuring projects meet regulatory standards, and providing right solutions on time.
Individually handle the creation and review of detailed engineering designs and plans for large-scale industrial projects (e.g., 400kV & 220kV Switchyards, GIS and Main control buildings, Conversion sub stations, synchronous condensers and rotating stabilizers projects etc.).
Utilize advanced computer-aided design (CAD) software and structural analysis tools to produce precise and scalable designs.
Oversee the progress of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Ensure all designs and projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
Conduct thorough site visits to assess project conditions, ensure adherence to design specifications, and address any issues that arise.
Evaluate environmental factors and their potential effects on project outcomes, incorporating innovative solutions where appropriate.
Prepare comprehensive reports, specifications, and presentations for project reviews, client meetings, and regulatory submissions.
Maintain meticulous records of project progress, changes, and communications.
Work closely with architects, urban planners, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate civil and structural engineering aspects into broader project plans.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and ensure client satisfaction.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field;
3+ years of experience in structural and civil engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Familiarity with local and national, international building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
CAD Software: Proficiency in advanced CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation.
Structural Analysis Tools: Experience with any of structural analysis and design software like STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or ETABS.
BIM Software: Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools for integrated project delivery.
3D Modeling and Simulation: Skills in 3D modeling software for visualizing and simulating structural behaviors.
Ability to adapt and multitask with project / application engineers
Analytical and innovative approach in problem solving
Proficiency in MS Office applications
PLM, Primavera experience are added advantage
